Wednesdays during July, Youth from Glen Cary are spending their mornings doing service and afternoon sharing fun activities. Check out the pictures to get a sneak peek at what they did.
Wednesday, July 6 - 18 people had a fun first day of Summer Stretch, playing games talking about Jesus and the woman at the well, and packing meals at Feed My Starving Children. They packed 3,456 meals which is enough to feed 9.5 kids for a whole year. It was a great first day!
Wednesday, July 13 - Wild River State Park where Naturalist Mike talked about many of the native plants the park is trying to grow. We were taught how to spot and get rid of "Spoiled Knapweed", an invasive plant the park is trying to eradicate so native plants can grow.
After working, we went to the Wild Mountain to spend the afternoon playing in the waterpark and floating on the lazy river.
Wednesday, July 20 - Summer Stretch youth and leaders worked to serve the church on Wednesday. They helped with clean-up of VBS supplies, some office help, and planting flowers around the outside of the church. Thanks to MaryBeth Gagner who brought annuals to plant and gave good instruction on how to help make Glen Cary beautiful!
